That's what I saw when I was headed to bed last night. Fun, no? We set out some buckets over night, and will be calling the super again today. But I'm not sure what can really be done other than wait for all the water to drain through from upstairs. And then fix damage.

Flooding
So. Last night, I'm laying in bed, and I hear a drip....drip...drip...I nudge my husband awake and he listens too.
"Oh, it's just the air conditioner dripping inside the maintenance closet", he tells me. It's 2 a.m., I believe him because we both just want to sleep.
Around 8 a.m. our daughter wakes us up, complaining of a dripping from the maintenance closet. We start to tell her the same story but I stop and listen. Drip, drip, drip, drip...Much faster and louder this time.
We get up, pad to the closet, and open the double doors to find water flowing in from every inch of the ceiling inside the closet. It's flowing down the bloody back wall. The carpet is turning dark where we stand.
Super.
We assume it's our upstairs neighbor having an issue and the mister goes up to alert her.
She is not home. Naturally.
So he calls the landlord and leaves a message while I dump out the bowl already half-full of water we'd set in there a minute ago.
We stare, we sigh, we move the dining room table out of the way. Mister decides it's time to go next door and get Brian, our maintenance man. Who, thankfully, if he's hung over is not showing it. He tries to get into the second floor apartment, but his skeleton key weirdly doesn't work. Not that it ends up mattering because, on a whim, he and mister head to the third floor and find the root of the problem. The neighbor is missing, as is the bottom of his water tank. It's probably been draining water for a while now, slowly soaking through his floor to the neighbor above, and through her floor to ours.
So anyway, we got some buckets, ran a wet vac, and - since Brian was kind enough to shut the water off at the third floor, the dripping has stopped. Now we're just hoping the carpet dries without any issue. :/
How was your weekend?

Halloween Flashback(s)
So I thought I'd do a photodump of all of Kaity's little Halloween costumes!
For some reason I cannot find the second half of 2004's photos! :C So we start with her second Halloween, a month before her second birthday
Still not sure what she's going to be this year. She says she wants to be a Pokemon trainer - that sounds easy enough, don't they just wear street clothes? Still, we'll see what she chooses closer to the time...
